We want to send a special thanks to the Cheese Board Collective for generously donating the space for us every sunday night. This learning experience would not be possible with out their help. Thank you.
What is Cafe 20?
Cafe 20 is a Sunday night cafe run by brothers Saul and Leib Sutcher. Guests eat at communal tables. Each night there is a seasonal three course prix fixe menu. It is twenty dollars per person, and if you bring wine, we provide glasses and a bottle opener for no corkage fee. Reservations are for 7:00pm at the Cheese Board Pizza. Hope to see you there.
My name is Saul Sutcher. I am a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles California. I am currently participating in an abroad program in Rome, Italy.
Besides being a student I also run two cafes. One is an on campus cafe that I run out of a dorm called Cafe Norris. The other is a cafe that I run out of a pizzeria in Berkeley called Cheese Board Pizza. The two were written up in an article in the L.A. Times. (http://articles.latimes.com/2009/sep/02/food/fo-schoolchef2).
I have a deep passion for food and plan to pursue it to the fullest in Rome as well as other places in and around Italy.
The main purpose of this blog is to chronicle my food adventures in Rome, as well as to provide periodic updates about my experience here.
